WRUP: Pace out the halls of your lineage edition

Was this the longest?

Picture a moment in time, if you will. Imagine it as a place, as a thing with structure. That point is fixed in space and time both – that place you are picturing, frozen indelibly in the structure of that moment. But if you could step back to that moment, would it be the same location? If you could explore that moment with everything you are now, would it still be the same as it was?

The answer, obviously, is no. That memory, that structure in your mind, includes you as one of the fixed points it uses for a reference. Alter yourself in some way – by maturity, by growth, by more profound changes – and the thing itself expands in new direction. No matter how you might fix yourself and your memories in time, even your memory of those places is predicated on a small lie, on the lie we tell ourselves that we are the same now as we were then.

Also, it’s time for What Are You Playing. Joke! Everybody laughs.

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Ugh, I tried to avoid it, but my usual winter sickness hit me. I gotta take it easy, so if I do any gaming, it’ll probably be in Hearthstone, HEX, or trying out Atlas Reactor (if it proves easy enough with my fever-ridden mind).

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I have no idea! And I love that feeling. I’m sure I will poke into Ultima Online while it’s on, but beyond that? Whatever strikes me. I need a new thing.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): I’ve been doing some prep in Final Fantasy XIV for the upcoming patch, but most of what I actually want to do is reliant on the patch being here. You understand. Aside from that, some roleplaying and such in Star Wars: The Old Republic will probably round out my weekend.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I just switched up my FFXIV jobs (again) so I need to do a lot of XP grinding to get back up to where I left off on the main story quest. Other than that, I’m working on organizing all off my once-in-a-while MMOs on a new hard drive and I am considering playing a bit of RIFT.

MJ Guthrie (@MJ_Guthrie, blog): I am shaking things up a bit this week, throwing in some Black Desert, Atlas Reactor, and MechWarrior Online into my usual routine. Of course, we have a group goal to tame a quetzal in ARK: Survival Evolved, so I will definitely be there as well, and I hope to sneak through a bit more Dishonored.

Oh snap – I also want to level a bit in Path of Exile, remake my Cleric in Neverwinter, and maybe start a new race and faction in HEX. Anyone have a few spare days they can lend me this weekend?

Your turn!
