Nothing says welcome and hospitality quite like, “Give us some money and we’ll throw you a few items in return!” Actually, that sounds just like a transaction. So when you hear the phrase “welcome bundle” from Blizzard, you need to have your expectations in the right place so that you’re not anticipating a cozy afternoon of sitting on a front porch, sipping iced tea with developers.
This is all leading up to the important news, which is that Hearthstone is selling said welcome bundles to, well, pretty much anyone who wants to buy one. Players can only purchase a $5 bundle once, which contains 10 digital packs of cards and one random class legendary. The legendary card is from the classic set and is not golden, apparently.
