Although Heroes of the Storm fans got some rather disheartening news late last year when Blizzard announced that it would be slowing down the game’s development cadence while simultaneously cancelling its major HOTS esports events, the devs have nevertheless insisted that they remain dedicated to actively supporting the game with new content. They recently provided some evidence to back up that statement by revealing Imperius, the latest character to join the MOBA’s roster.
Known to Diablo players as the Archangel of Valor, Imperius boasts strong single-target abilities as well as a decent amount of CC, allowing him to lay some divine smackdown on any enemies unfortunate enough to be caught in his path. His high sustained damage makes him an excellent duelist, perfect for a solo laner role. That being said, he generally needs to get up close and personal to make the most of his kit, so characters who can consistently outmaneuver and kite him will probably give him a bit of a hard time.
