Shroud of the Avatar’s Release 66 makes adjustments to the new player experience

While you often don’t get a second chance to make a first impression, those who were perhaps put off by the opening beats of Shroud of the Avatar might want to consider a return to the title with its latest release, which has made some changes to the first several things players do.

For starters, the game starts in the Battle of Solace Bridge instead of the Isle of Storms, which was deemed by the devs to be “not representative of the best parts of the game as a whole.” The opening beats also lead players towards the Path of Love quests instead of offering the choice of following Truth, Love, or Courage; this is due to the fact that these quests are the most polished of the three. Speaking of polish, the Path of Love starting area has seen a quality pass.

There is, as usual, more to this update to SOTA than that, including the return of the Luminous Atavist, new Warding and Taming skills, adjustments to Artifact Combining, and more. All of the complete details are in the patch notes.
