Starbase has been killing it with videos ever since its May announcement. Finnish dev Frozenbyte characterizes the game as a “massively multiplayer online game with gameplay focused on building and designing spaceships and stations, exploration, resource gathering, crafting, trading, and combat” and a focus on simulation, production, and construction on a galactic scale. Earlier this month, the company dropped a video on spaceship pew pew, and now it’s posted two more.
The first focuses on starbases themselves, a players can rent lots for apartments and landing docks on safe NPC space stations and design the structures’ exteriors and interiors – or construct a starbase of their own, though the devs warn those aren’t quite as safe as the NPC versions. Warning, the video includes dancing robots.
The second video is more of a goofy in-universe look at how tractor beams and cargo holds function in-game. Again, more adorable robots.
