Big numbers are impressive, and thus it’s something of a milestone that a player in Red Dead Online has hit rank 1000 for what he claims is a first for the game, though apparently there have been others with less impressive provenance. While it’s hard for anyone but Rockstar itself to verify that this rank milestone was reached completely legitimately, since exploits and such are not exactly uncommon in the game; for example, there’s video of a player who had reached 900 farming headshots on another character who appears to just be an alt account made for farming. At least one other person who hit the milestone was similarly confirmed to be cheating, adding an extra layer of contention.
Still, the claim is that it’s legit and it’s still a darn big number. It’ll take anyone in the 300s a while to catch up, although we imagine that’s when you can start claiming that a town ain’t big enough for the two of you.
What will this particular player, @GTAV_Informer, be doing next? “Take a little break from the game until Rockstar release the next update,” he told fans.
