Blizzard’s been teasing a new Overwatch character for a while now – in fact, we first heard of this one way back in 2018, when she appeared in the Ashe-and-McCree short and was said to be “one of the next six heroes planned out right now.” But now, the studio has officially announced Echo and promised she’s coming soon, complete with an origin story video, albeit a brief one.
“Introducing Echo. An evolutionary robot programmed with a rapidly adapting artificial intelligence, Echo represents the cutting edge of technology.”
Oh, don’t worry, the internet is already doing its thing.
