We first caught site of Overwatch’s Echo waaaaay back in 2018, when she appeared in the Ashe-and-McCree short and was said to be “one of the next six heroes planned out” at the time. As of today, this “multirole evolutionary robot damage hero” character is playable in the game on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the Switch.

“Having joined up with the new Overwatch team to defend Paris against the Null Sector incursion, for the first time, Echo is seeing action as a full-fledged team member. But as she is exposed to new people, new ideas, and new situations without Dr. Liao to guide her, no one knows how she might evolve in the future.”

Competitive Open Queue is also live in the Arcade for four weeks starting today, employing “standard Competitive Play rules, including hero pools and one hero limit” without role restrictions or role queues.
