While Phantasy Star Online 2’s upcoming standalone large-scale update New Genesis has a long way to go before release, there’s still plenty of player curiosity about the game, especially in regards to what transfers between the two. Sega has been gathering up a number of those questions and has offered up a few answers.
As one would expect, many of the answers provide some pretty granular details about items, outfits, titles, accessories, and friend lists that are shared between PSO2 and PSO2:NGS, though there are a few things that will be unique to the latter, such as unique hairstyles, facial features, and animated fingers. The post confirms that the Mesata in-game currency will not be moving over to PSO2:NGS, as a separate Personal Shop that uses a different currency will be in the game. The answers also confirm that PSO2 will be getting the same graphics engine update that PSO2:NGS will be using.
Those are the highlights from a pretty sizable list of details, so players that are deeply invested in these two titles will want to read through all of them for specifics.
