On some level this might be a case of an old man yelling at clouds, but I really dislike joining Discord servers for specific MMOs. I have no problem joining Discord servers for communities within games, naturally, but joining an entire server just to see such basic things as news and updates makes my eye twitch. Get a dang website! No, Facebook does not count! If you’re trying to convince me that your studio can actually run a functional MMO, running a functional website is, like, step zero!

However, that might just be me. Or maybe it’s something everyone hates and we can all be angry at the people making official Discord servers for games as a rule. So do you like having Discord servers for specific MMOs that you need to trawl through for relevant information about the game? Or does just the thought of that irritate you, much less the reality of several smaller games that actually do that?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
