Old world.

Delays happen in the game industry, especially the last year or so. They’re not ideal, but they happen. A good development team tries to minimize them and often will avoid many of them, but sometimes one or two are just inevitable. Then you have games like New World, a game that I am still expecting to be delayed because it was delayed so often. Yes, I am aware the game has already launched. Somehow, it will still be delayed. It will always be delayed.

But today we’re not really concerned with whether or not a game is good or bad about delays. No, we want to know what delay you’ve found personally the most upsetting, the one that sticks in your craw even now, presumably well after the point when the delay is over and the game in question is out and playable. What’s the most upsetting MMO delay you’ve experienced? And assuming that the title in question is out now, was it worth the additional wait?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
