MassivelyOP’s not-so-serious end-of-the-year awards continue today with our pick for most inadvisable MMO name. (We call these silly awards the Golden Yachties in honor of that dank meme about how games bloggers sail around on a golden yacht with all their blogging money. Obviously, our yacht is constructed from rhodium-encrusted moonrock, not mere gold.)
And the winner is…
SUNSET WORLD ONLINE
Consider this a gentle ribbing because we’re not anxious to punch down here. Element Quest was a perfectly fine name for this little indie title, but then the developers got a chance to reboot the game and pick a new name… and they picked Sunset World Online. It’s basically up there with Population Zero.
Incidentally, this game is still alive and still in early access, so it’s got that going for it. No sunsets here, no sir.
