The Daily Grind: What’s the last player-made item you bought in an MMORPG?

Eugh.

A lot of MMORPGs have crafting. The majority, even. But there’s a major difference between “this game has crafting” and “this game has crafting that actually matters in any fashion.” And yes, the primary difference is whether you want things that are either only made through crafting or primarily made through crafting. If your game has crafting in it but you can’t remember the last time you bought something made by another player, that’s not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Beyond that, though, sometimes it’s really fun to remember commissioning someone for a specific piece of armor or furniture, or even just seeing someone’s name repeatedly when you need to buy a whole bunch of lumber (which was, in fact, the last player-made item I bought). So what’s the last player-made item you bought in an MMORPG? Was it something you wanted on its own or was it a piece you bought toward a larger crafting project you were engaged in?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
