Dark Age of Camelot introduces new and returning seasonal tasks in its Midwinter Festival

What could possibly be more festive than… uh… slaying a big old ice demon? That’s one of the seasonal tasks that are on offer during the ongoing Midwinter Festival in Dark Age of Camelot, and considering we live in a world where Krampus and the Mari Lwyd exist during the holiday season, we’d say this activity absolutely tracks.

The daily Icy Dredd battlegroup encounter will ask players to face off against one of three frigid threats in order to earn a crate full of goodies. Opening the crate grants one of several rewards like potions, cross-realm trophies, free cash shop items, or some festive mounts.

This quest is just one of the wintry activities that players can engage in, along with various challenges to be found in a festive plaza, a frozen cavern event, the return of traveling merchants, battleground presents to gather, and a host of additional Christmastime quests. The holiday season will also see the 12 Days of Midwinter login rewards return, with the first freebie handed out this Thursday, December 21st.

Much of this year’s event probably holds few surprises for regular players, but it’s a good festive time all around. And that includes slaying frost-coated evil things.
