Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis confirms preset skill updates are arriving in late January

This bit of Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis news is probably going to be aimed more towards the regular and deeply entrenched players, but it’s still no less important to mark, as Sega has confirmed that some preset skill balancing is en route for sometime at the end of January.

In broad strokes, these updates will increase the overall power of preset skills across the board, though there are some more targeted adjustments being made to the Verschmelz series’ Everbright Unit Potential preset. Preset skills that were available only through item drops will also become available via preset skill enhancement, and a new item will be added that lets players add a random level one preset skill to their gear.

A calendar date for these tweaks is not tied down, but Sega promises to provide information about these adjustments and more in the NGS Headline video that will premiere on January 30th, 2024. Until then, just know that preset skill updates are coming.
