Sunset on original ideas.

Time and over-familiarity work against our ongoing interest and passion in MMORPGs. It’s just how it is. So you can either burn out, take healthy breaks, or look for ways to reignite the flame when it starts burning low.

Maybe you find your passion reinvigorated because of something the studio does: a new expansion, an important quality-of-life change, a different ruleset, or a legacy server. Or perhaps it’s a choice that you made to try an unorthodox class or leveling approach.

What’s helped you in the past to reinvigorate your love of an MMO? Is it something that you would recommend to others?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
