World of Warships adds the historical USS Wisconsin – and funds the restoration of the real deal

World of Warships is bringing an absolute unit of a ship to bear with its April patch. Update 13.3 arrived a few days ago with the USS Wisconsin, a Tier 10 Iowa-class battleship that boasts nine 406mm main battery guns.

Players who want to unlock the Wisconsin for play can either complete 30 shipbuilding combat missions or pay for a quick unlock. Either process also grants the West Virginia 1944 battleship along the way, although the paid bundles are being used to finance the restoration of one of the real Wisconsin’s turrets.

The naval combat sim is also reviving asymmetric battles and gearing up for Japanese Golden Week with a new event pass: “Set across two 20-level progression lines, players can discover a wealth of rewards including signal Containers and Golden tokens.”
