Survival MMO Myth of Empires hopes to make ancient Greek armor cool again

Two months out from launch, survival sandbox Myth of Empires is ramping up for post-release civilizations. One of those is Greece, which is slated to come to the game later in 2024 and bring a stylish new twist to the scene. In a second dev blog on the culture, the developers highlighted the steel armor sets coming with the DLC.

The team said that it did its homework for the armor designs from both history and, erm, creative sources: “The design of the chest and leg armor draws inspiration from various books and films. This process involved integrating overall material proportions, color combinations, and texture designs, all while seeking a balance between gameplay and realism.”

The resulting armor design “embodies the essential characteristics of Greek civilization” while retaining the overall style of Myth of Empires. The team said that the Greece DLC should arrive in July.
