BitCraft delays its second closed alpha test to July 8

The second closed alpha test for social-focused survival sandbox BitCraft has changed a couple of times before, as studio Clockwork Labs first stated it would begin on June 17th, then projected a June 16th start. That date has now changed a third time, and it’s a delay to July 8th instead.

Unfortunately there are no additional details beyond the new date, but the announcement tweet does promise that this next test will be “majestic”; we presume this is a reference to the fact that the build will feature a first pass at its empires system (hence a reference to majesty) as opposed to some grandiose declaration of its feature set, though it certainly is quite the looker even at this early stage.

For those who don’t recall, BitCraft’s empires system was described by Clockwork Labs co-founder Tyler Cloutier as a sort of endgame system for the MMO, which would allow players to basically engage in what amounts to economic PvP. More details will likely be provided later, but know that things are being pushed back a bit.
