Whenever someone opens up to me about a particular hobby or entertainment franchise that they greatly enjoy, it can feel a bit like drinking from a firehose to try to get my head around it (particularly if that franchise has been around for a while!). So my follow-up question is almost, “What would be the best part of that to experience first?”
What I’m fishing for is an “ambassador” entry point — something that’s very accessible to a complete newbie unfamiliar with this whole situation. What would grip me right away, make me eager to experience more, and teach me the ropes?
I suppose that’s a good question to ask about MMORPGs, as we have so many options these days, and the existing titles can be really overwhelming. So what would be the best “ambassador” MMO to recommend to a complete first-timer to help them onboard into our genre?
