Lord of the Rings Online officially has begun promoting its fall expansion, Legacy of Morgoth, with a series of preview streams hosted by Senior World Designer Matt “Scenario” Elliot.
In the first video, Elliott takes players through Ambarûl, which continues the exploration of Umbar that began with last fall’s expansion pack. Ambarûl will feature a new weather type — sandstorms — that spring up from its desert biome. Elliott said that the team is working to make more natural-looking waterfalls, adding new enemy types such as scorpions and jackals, and introducing a new antelope-like mount.
The studio posted a schedule of follow-up streams, looking at the zones of Khûd Zagin (September 18th), Imhûlar (September 25th), Urash Dâr (October 2nd), and Legacy of Morgoth instances (October 9th).
