Earlier this summer, MOP reader PaJamas noted that he’d been maining a Paladin tank for something like 10 years (and alted it before that). But he was talking about one specific MMORPG. I wondered what my overall time in terms of main character classes looks like. Not just the character classes I like and prefer, but where do I actually spend the bulk of my time?
And you know, I think the answer is actually archers, followed by zerker tanks. It’s funny because I think of myself as a bard or nature mage or healer, and those are my favorites, but when I think about what I actually roll in MMOs and then spend all my time on? Some sort of archer is usually it, especially if I’m going to be playing mostly alone. I do the same thing in single-player games and ARPGs, now that I think of it. If I’m going to be grouping or duoing, then I usually do tank or healer or something more in tune with my preferences. Huh!
