Massively multiplayer WWII fighting sim Foxhole is poised to add a new dimension to its warfare next summer with its Airborne expansion. When it arrives, Airborne will layer on top of the ground and sea conflict to create a trifecta of warfare theaters in the game’s “seamless online battlefield.”
Airborne promises that “every pilot is a player,” with roles as pilot or gunners in fighters and bombers. Planes will need to be reequipped between missions by the ground forces, and infantry can tag along for a paradrop behind enemy lines.
Before this arrives, Foxhole is releasing its Infantry update on November 18th: “The Infantry update is a major revamp of Foxhole’s infantry gameplay, designed to be more team-oriented and tactical. This update introduces deeper suppression gameplay, weapon shouldering mechanics, and a stamina overhaul, alongside other features to make the entire infantry playspace more impactful on the persistent battlefield.”
