Throne & Liberty patches in its sprouts system and 2 star dungeon tier – well, kinda

As promised, Throne and Liberty released its 1.8.0 update overnight – this is the update whose key feature, as we’ve been covering, is the 2 star dungeon tier. These dungeons are basically “reimagined versions of existing dungeons featuring more challenging versions of bosses to conquer as well as some entirely new boss encounters” – with much better loot.

The update also borrows from other MMOs with the sprouts and sages system; it essentially grants players over or under certain thresholds to flag as newbies or veterans with the intent of aiding lowbies with their progress. Finally, the patch notes include a long list of general fixes and weapon balancing tweaks.

Do note that Amazon announced this morning that console players haven’t been able to access the 2-star dungeons (oops?); the team is apparently investigating the the problem now. Amusingly, players are already demanding compensation and needling Amazon over pretty much omitting the key content from the patch. Then again, if you got up before dawn to play the patch, maybe you just played yourself?
