A very happy birthday to RuneScape, which recently turned 24 years old on January 4th. The long-lasting MMO, which began as a web browser game back in 2001, is throwing a little celebration this month in the form of anniversary balloon drops.
There are three upcoming balloon drops to put on your calendar: January 13th, 26th, and 31st. On these days, the MMO will be gifting RuneScape balloons at lodestones every half-hour.
On top of that, RuneScape is preparing to release its first quest of the year, Beneath Scabaras’ Sands. This is the first of a trio of quests that will kick off on January 13th for those who have worked through most of the Quest in the Desert series. Honest to goodness, there’s an actual flow chart to show you if you’re eligible to participate.
