It’s been a while since we last checked in on the SpatialOS-powered Project C, which is being developed by ROKH studio Darewise. The team says that it has been working diligently on the massively multiplayer game following this past March’s initial announcement.

“It’s f**king cool,” said Darewise Co-Founder Benjamin Charbit to PC Games Insider. “It’s going to be really big, very new, very innovative. […] Having that opportunity to create a meaningful persistent world was very interesting.”

Charbit said that the studio was growing to up to 70 people to get the scifi-themed Project C done, calling it the studio’s “dream game.” The game reportedly boasts a self-sufficient ecosystem (inspired by Assassin’s Creed) that lives and breathes: “With Project C we are talking about a world that doesn’t stop or rest or sleep. When you are inside or outside, things are happening. The world will be totally different if you leave the game for two months. It’s really living and really persistent.”
