It’s weird to think that World of Warcraft hits 15 years this year, but that’s the way linear time works. Five-year intervals are big ones, too, and considering last year’s several slapdash moments I’m very curious about what’s going to happen this year. Sure, it’s not until November, but it’s still on my mind even now in January. And since it just takes basic math, I’m willing to bet there are some other anniversaries other people are looking forward to.
There’s some interesting stuff to consider; for example, Guild Wars 2 is seven years old this year, which is how old the original Guild Wars was when the sequel came out. Final Fantasy XI is 17 years old and still getting patches despite its maintenance mode. And there are several games hitting new annual milestones, some of which call out for some big surrounding celebration. So today we ask you about precisely that.
