WRUP: Superpositional mockery edition

Nyan~

Good morning, dear readers. At this time, one of two things has happened. The first possibility is that I was up to watch the Final Fantasy XIV keynote at 4:00 a.m. EDT; the second is that I was not. As I cannot be sure which happened just yet, please pick the correct answer and include it in this week’s What Are You Playing comment.

If I was up for the keynote: You complete idiot. How much work did you get done this week? How much did you want to sleep? Did you throw that away just so you could work on something when you could easily just wait until you woke up? You’re going to be writing up your summary later anyhow. You nitwit.

If I was not up for the keynote: You complete idiot. Why did you bother abstaining from caffeine and rescheduling your evening just to miss the keynote? You had one job and you blew it. Now you have to work from behind when you didn’t need to. You nitwit.

Bonus question: What was the last movie you saw in the theaters, and what was the last film you were happy to see in theaters?

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I neglected my games this week – just been super busy with work stuff. In a good way. Y’all will see what I mean later. But I’ll be getting in some Star Wars Galaxies Legends for sure, assuming we can get some good spawns up, and earlier this week I did the tutorial for Warframe, so I need to play more of that to catch up with Justin.

I used to go to a lot of movies, and then I had little kids and that was the end of that. Last one in the theater for me was Solo – my parents were in town, so we had free sitting, yay! I actually really liked Solo – there was some cheese, but who goes into a Star Wars movie thinking there won’t be cheese?

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): It’s going to be pretty much The Elder Scrolls Online and Anthem for me, really. Which is actually kind of bad because I’m super eager to play both but I also have a lot of prep I need to do for my D&D campaign. Let the tug of war between tabletop game joy and MMO game joy begin!

The last movie I saw in the theater happened to be the last movie I was happy to see in the theater: Star Wars ep. 8. What. A. Film.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Oh, gosh. It’s the second Final Fantasy XIV fan festival, and that’s going to be occupying a lot of my time and headspace. I’m also going to be playing FFXIV along the way, and… yeah, that’s about where I’m going to be.

I was lucky enough to see both of the two big December releases I wanted in the theaters, so that’s both Bumblebee and Into the Spider-verse. And, to my great satisfaction, both were excellent! Always a good thing.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I just finished up Morrowind in The Elder Scrolls Online, so now I’m starting on the main campaign. Other than that, a little Lord of the Rings Online and maybe The Long Dark.

Your turn!
