While initial indicators were that Fallout 76 was going to skip over Steam in favor of Bethesda’s own digital games platform, time can change minds. Or maybe this was the plan all along. Regardless of the reason, Fallout 76 will be headed to Valve’s platform soon.
There’s a lot of use of the word “soon” here because the launch window is officially “later this year” — a revelation provided by Bethesda’s Twitter account. The company also confirms that RAGE 2, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, and DOOM Eternal will also be launching on Steam as well as Bethesda’s storefront. Naturally.
As for the game itself, players can expect the PvP-centric survival mode to enter beta at some point this week, though no firm date of the mode’s beta launch is available at the time of this writing.
