Our first computer was an Acer. That’s all I remember. There was a sale so dad bought it. The thing was, it already had trouble running cheap Windows programs on sale at the grocery store. We all remember those, right?
Andy McAdams: Pokemon! I don’t really care about the Reddit-mob rage over it – I’m going to enjoy the ever-loving crap out of this game. Also probably some Minecraft and The Elder Scrolls Online.
First computer: a Tandy 1000. Had a whopping like 200kb some-aught hard drive and a custom OS
Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I’ll be in Star Wars Galaxies Legends again. Crafting, mostly! Husband’s been trying to get me back into Guild Wars 2 again, but we’ll see.
First computer? No idea. I was little. A big ol’ ugly cream box that my brother and I fought over. We had a couple of games – Jeopardy was one. Didn’t own a real console, but my dad had a CS degree, so yep, we were relatively early adopters for PC.
Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): I am legitimately unsure. I’m sort of coasting around between a few different games but not outright being hooked in by any of them for a great length of time. Bit of Final Fantasy XIV, bit of Dauntless, bit of Star Citizen… I also feel like I want to try something wholly different to shake things up. Maybe I’ll give Kingdom Under Fire 2 a swing.
The first PC we owned was a hand-me-down IBM thing from the Navy. It was one of those chunky suckers that required you to turn it on in a specific sequence. As for our first “real” PC as far as gaming goes, it was a Gateway thing. That was at the mid-90s, at the height of CD-ROM point-and-click adventure gaming. Return to Zork and The 7th Guest anyone?
Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): I’ve got my usual stuff in FFXIV as I take on some challenges in World of Warcraft (finishing up reputation is 15% faster during the anniversary event, that’s just barely enough motivation). Otherwise, I’ve got stuff to play for reviews, and maybe I’ll fit in something else along the way, but nothing definite.
My first household computer was an Apple IIe, monochrome green display and all. Oddly, very few of my old computers actually had games on them, which is probably why it took a long time for me to really think of desktops as gaming machines.
Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): Pretty much the same as last weekend: Minas Morgul questing in Lord of the Rings Online, Heavensward questing in FFXIV, and intergalactic space pirate awesomeness in The Outer Worlds.
Mia DeSanzo (@neschria): I will be working this weekend, both housework and jobby job work. On Sunday, I plan to jump back into ArcheAge.
The first computer we had was a Texas Instruments TI-99/4A. We had a cassette tape drive and voice synthesizer (which was a separate bit of hardware). Programs came on cartridges or cassettes. It was awesome.
MJ Guthrie (@MJ_Guthrie, blog): Pretty much the only thing I will be living, breathing, and playing this weekend is Path of Exile here at ExileCon. Big announcements and hands-on opportunities abound.
I still have my first “computer,” which was also my first “laptop.” It was a Brother portable word processor with equally portable printer my mom gave me when I left for college. I’d take it to campus when I had to spend the day finishing and printing a paper to turn in. It also provided my very firs computer catastrophe when the power went out in a school building as I was literally typing the final sentence of a 15-page research paper and erased everything. Apparently the auto save toggled off, leaving me nothing to give for a paper that was due in 30 minutes. Half the class walked into that class in a daze (most of the campus lost power for a bit, including the computer lab). Professor gave us all three days to redo, saying if we had it done once then it shouldn’t be hard to recreate. My paper was nowhere near as good as the first one, but the grade was decent and it was over. 
Samon Kashani (@thesamkash): ArcheAge is going to take up all my gaming time this weekend; finally getting up into the danger zones and hitting the upper levels so things are getting interesting.
First family computer was an IBM. It had bunch of kid games and stuff. I thought it was so cool. 
Tyler Edwards: Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition morning, noon, and night. This is how you do a remaster, folks. It changed just enough while preserving the spirit of the original perfectly.
Bonus question: I don’t remember. I was too little.
