It goes without saying — but I’m going to say it anyway — that this year’s Halloween isn’t going to be quite normal due to the pandemic. A lot of families and kids are looking for alternate experiences this week, which is why Roblox is going all out to throw a virtual Halloween Block Party for youth ages seven through 17.
The event actually sounds pretty awesome: “Virtual trick-or-treaters will navigate through a series of Halloween favorites like a hayride, haunted houses, corn maze, costume shop, fortune teller, bounce house, virtual photo-ops and more.”
Instead of getting candy to eat, party-goers can snag a lot of in-game items to enjoy for months to come. If you or your children want to attend, you’ll need to grab a free ticket for the event.
“After my wife and I observed a lively online discussion about whether or not kids should trick-or-treat this year, we knew this Halloween was going to be a bummer for our kids,” said iD Tech’s VP of Innovation and Partnerships Ricky Bennett. “At work we rallied the iD Tech team and took it as our charge to save Halloween for our students.”
