Skyforge examines the lore of Darnic Village

Just a small-town... town.

If you were asked to list the most obviously important places in Skyforge from a lore standpoint, Darnic Village wouldn’t be on that list. The new entry on the locale’s lore all but says that outright. It’s located right by the monorail running from Aelinar to Iannor, but it doesn’t have a station of its own or any sort of major tourist draw. It’s a farm town, a village formed by several farmers all claiming land in the same area until they wound up concentrated enough to form a village. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Players who recognize the name of the region know that you don’t wind up stopping there to improve harvests for the year, however – the player characters are brought in when a panicked radio message is received. It’s half-garbled, but it mentions the Reapers of Death, and that’s enough to dispatch player characters to reach the area. A bit too late for most of the residents, however. It’s an interesting look at a region of the game before it turns into a battleground for deities, a portrait of a spot beyond its purpose in the overall flow of the game.
