The right to lie down basically anywhere at any time without anyone acting like it’s weird: Local EMTs hate me. Not for this, thought; it’s mostly because I throw Arby’sâ„¢ sauce packets in their faces once they come to investigate me and scream Spanish obscenities. But it’s up there.
The right to just be naked and nobody thinks it’s weird: Police were very clear that this does not and will never apply to me outside of my home. Also apparently wearing just a collar would make this worse.
The right to be a brainless idiot doing stupid crap for no demonstrable reason while making idiotic noises: Not only is this one legal, but if I wear a sports jersey, it’s actually pretty much on-brand. Which sports jersey? Eh, who cares. But definitely the Red Sox or the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The right to poop in a box: It turns out that this isn’t a crime, just a bad idea.
The right to be featured in no less than one What Are You Playing a month: Hey guess what.
Bonus question: What are your favorite sort of scented candles?
Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Splatoon 3 and Orna will get some attention, as will Pokemon Go. Gotta get out and burn off some of the delicious calories I’ve consumed this summer!
Actually, scented candles are one of the things that really triggers my allergies, so I prefer non-scented. If it has a light, natural scent, it’s okay (aside from vanilla, which even when natural seems to give me problems), but no scent is best for me.
Ben Griggs (@braxwolf): I’ve been messing around in the Palia beta, and I see no reason to stop now. Might also get a bit of Grand Theft Auto Online RP in. My character was hired as an EMT and it’d be a shame to let all that IC training go to waste!
Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Not sure where I’ll be this weekend – I’m swamped in work and stuff at home – but if I get free time, I need to get reacquainted with my Guild Wars 2 roster and get back into Lord of the Rings Online. Both are getting love next week, and I am worried I won’t have time to enjoy them while they are hot (for MMOs) again.
I don’t burn candles anymore, but I love melting wax. It’d be easier to list what I don’t like: florals, aquatics, chocolate, and eucalyptus. Everything else? I’ll melt that.
Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): I’m pretty much kind of coasting around different games right now. A little bit of Final Fantasy XIV, a tiny bit of Dungeons & Dragons Online, perhaps a bit of City of Heroes; I’m honestly pretty listless overall if I’m very honest with myself.
Okay so when it comes to scented candles, anything that smells autumnal is an immediate win. That usually means the expected scents like cinnamon and allspice and pumpkin and whatnot. There are a few other types of scents that I like too, but I never really know until I sniff. And one of my unashamed favorite things to do in a mall that has one is head into a Yankee Candle store and sniff all the things.
Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Aside from a bit of FFXIV, I’ll be giving Wayfinder another look probably this weekend, assuming it’s a bit more stable now. I might also tool around in Baldur’s Gate 3, since I do actually own it from early access.
Autumn scents and gentle floral aromas are my preferred option; I use them a lot during the summer when the house gets shut up just for temperature control.
Sam Kash (@thesamkash): Harry Potter Magic Awakened is my only real stop for this one. Against the odds, or maybe because of them, I was able to push into the Diamond tier in dueling. So that was a fun little accomplishment. Other than that I’ve finally beaten Chained Echoes but I still want to unlock all the secrets so I might play around in there a bit. Also we’re having a boardgame night with some friends so I’m pumped.
Bonus: I don’t really care much for candles. I suppose those ones that smell like lavender or fresh linen are nice though.
Tyler Edwards (blog): If I can get Wayfinder working, that. Otherwise, more Overwatch 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition, with maybe a little Warcraft Rumble on the side.
Bonus question: I don’t think I’ve ever used scented candles. Vanilla is always nice, I guess?
