Dark Age of Camelot begins its PvP-focused Catch Up in Caledonia event with more details

Last month, fans of Dark Age of Camelot were given initial word about its next catch-up event and its more brutal PvP focus, but that was generally a bit thin on details beyond a start date, an end date, and some overall ruleset mentions. Now that the event is live this week, players are just absolutely awash in information.

Salient details for the event include word that newly-created characters will land in the Caledonia battleground right from the jump for the first four days (though they can elect to leave but cannot return), confirmation of 24-hour level cap raises and what they’ll be for the course of the event, and several lines’ worth of specific tweaks to abilities and PvP mechanics in order to keep things humming. Players are also being told that a buffbot will not be needed for the event and are encouraged to group up with others via the LFG channel or the game’s Discord.

This catch-up event that features a lot more player-to-player stabbing potential is running between now and December 11th, so those who are interested in trying it out have a lot of details to absorb as they head into Caledonia.
