While the Christmas season has passed us by on the calendar, the holidays are still rolling on in MMO lands including the VR world of Ilysia, which has engaged a winter holiday event in its latest early access patch. Players are invited to collect festive gear upgrades, discover holiday chests around the game world, and be on the lookout for the seasonal Evil Gromch world boss. Yes, that’s his name. The Gromch.
Of course, taking down a world boss will likely require a bunch of players, and that should be hopefully easier as the early access VR MMO is merging three servers – Notus, Portus, and Crikdale – into the single Abermore server. This will hopefully be a boon since the game’s Steam numbers are in the single digits, though we do also have to point out the game is playable on Meta Quest devices and is cross-platform compatible.
In addition to the holiday event and smooshing of servers, Ilysia’s new patch brings a wide assortment of voice chat options, new HP and MP bars, updates to the Trogre cave boss room, and a variety of haptic updates for events like spell fizzle and combat.
