If Eternal Tombs has flown under your radar up until now, perhaps it’s time to pay closer attention. Not only does this tough MMO promise some unique mechanics with developers fiddling with the world around the players themselves, but it’s currently in the polish stage and eyeing a 2025 release.
In a year-end letter to the community, the game’s creative director said that the team is working “to get you into the world a soon as possible” and recently finished up the game’s magic system as part of that effort. Several public tests are planned for 2024, and Triune Studios said that so far it’s “hardly shown off any of what [the studio’s] built.”
“This year has been an incredible year for progress in the development of Eternal Tombs and 2024 will be the year where we start to wrap things up for a 2025 launch,” the creative director wrote. “Development for Eternal Tombs started about six years ago, and it’s been quite a huge effort to get here, but we’re in our polish stage and we cannot wait to show you some of the surprises and development we’ve done over the last six years to get to this point.”
