As much as we like to hold ourselves up as ironclad individuals above the influence of others, c’mon, we all feel the tug and pull of FOMO when everyone is flocking in a direction. Hearing a friend enthusiastic about a game has the potential to get me pretty excited about it too, especially if our tastes overlap.

For example, the other day MOP’s Chris was going on and on about the launch of Secrets of Grindea, an indie ARPG that previously escaped my notice. Based on his recommendation and a look-over, I snapped it up. No regrets – it’s a pretty fun title!

When’s the last time you played an MMO or online RPG because someone touted it to you or was verbally enthusiastic about it?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
