You know that whenever Hello Games and Sean Murray start dropping cryptic teasers so they’ll trend on Reddit, a new No Man’s Sky update is on the way, and so it is today: The studio has just revealed No Man’s Sky Worlds, or at least “part one” of it.
The devs are calling Worlds a complete “universe refresh” for the game. “Update 5.0, WORLDS, transforms the universe into a richer, wilder, more varied and immersive place. Featuring huge leaps in water and cloud visuals, increased planetary diversity, new gameplay features, and more.” We also spy starship customization, new critters, better icy and desert worlds, prettier skies, new armor, engine improvements, better UI labeling, better storms, walker battles, more cookie recipes, water landing, new gestures, underwater bases, new missions, BUILDINGS THAT WALK… it’s enormous. If this is part one, we can’t wait to see part two.
“Planets across the universe have been transformed in wild and radical ways. Gravitational distortions have warped some lush and tropical worlds, shaking loose floating islands that now drift in the atmosphere above the planet’s surface. Hop from rock-to-rock with the jetpack or starship, build bases in the sky, or simply marvel at the dramatic waterfalls that cascade down from the sky.”
