Something that we in journalism (or in general fandom!) always have to be aware of is the danger of unfairly or inaccurately crafting ongoing narratives that may not actually be the case.
So while it may be easy to say that New World is on a downward spiral because it’s had a rough go this past year — and it has — it’s important to remember that it is also a solid MMO with a caring dev team and some serious studio muscle behind it.
Perhaps its situation isn’t quite as dire or pronounced as some of the more vocal members of the playerbase make it out to be. Yet there’s no denying that New World’s taken a few hard knocks (and unforced errors) in 2024.
