This past weekend was a loaded one for Black Desert on PC and mobile, as Pearl Abyss hosted its BDO Festa and Calpheon Ball broadcasts for each version respectively, and as is often the case, both presentations were full of new reveals for the MMORPG.
We’ll begin with the addition that’s shared between both versions: the Deadeye class. Readers might recall that this firearm-toting combatant was teased earlier this month, and now it’s confirmed to arrive to PC and mobile on December 24th. This new female character was evidently drawn into the world of Black Desert through some multiverse meddling by Marni, but she appears to be more than willing to use her revolver and shotgun in a variety of mid to long-range assaults. The class can be seen in action in the trailers below.
From here, both versions are (obviously) getting different features: PC players can expect additional season server and new player improvements, a raised mastery cap for life skills, several fishing and sailing additions like an improved fish guide and the ability to assign sailors in specific roles aboard a ship, the end of resistance effects for PvP only, and a new dream horse. The Festa also previewed the upcoming new Demonland region, scheduled the hardcore PvP server’s opening for January 2025, and announced the fourth and final Atoraxxion dungeon Orzekia coming in February.
As for BDO Mobile, that will be getting the Vahmalkea Atoraxxion dungeon on December 31st as well as awakening for dawnveil gear, a new PvPvE instance on January 7th, updates to the Mountain of Eternal Winter content on January 14th along with some targeted class updates, and the introduction of new Rabam skills for all classes after March.
