It’s been a couple of months now, but if you can remember the Cryptic dev stream back in March, you’ll recall that the studio was keen to reassure gamers that content for all of its games was flourishing in spite of the corporate tinkering in the background that saw publishing move from Gearbox to Deca Games. The Star Trek Online roadmap in particular promised plenty of content through the spring – including season 32, new content, a returning celeb, storyline continuations, and even an undisclosed new feature.

Well, it’s May, and now we’ve got the whole scoop on what those teases will entail. The season itself is called Unparalleled, and it’s launching May 28th for PC and June 19th for console. The returning celeb is none other than Denise Crosby in her Captain Sela role.

“In Star Trek Online: Unparalleled, the Borg threat to the multiverse continues as the player’s Captain discovers a last stand between a new, peaceful alternate universe Iconians and a new type of Borg, infused with a mysterious nanite technology. The player’s Captain must work with allies across the universe including Enterprise Captain Sela from this new parallel universe and Aetherian ally Captain Grendat-Bex to defend the Iconians against this new Borg threat and their queen. This new adventure features a notable Star Trek franchise star, Denise Crosby, playing Captain Sela, Captain of the Enterprise from a parallel universe. Denise Crosby is known for playing Tasha Yar in the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation and she later returned to the Star Trek universe to play Captain Sela.”

In addition to the Situation Under Control episode, we’re looking at the 5-person, 12-round ground TFO dubbed Borg Battle Royale, as well as the Delete Alt Control event – oh yeah, and did we mention the new species and gender switch token?
