One Shots: The portents of the heavens

When you look up at the night sky and everything’s going nuts, it’s either the end of the world as we know it or a portent of a really fun time about to happen. The latter has cotton candy, so that’s what I’m rooting to see.

Katriana is gazing vertically for this week’s headlining shot from Silverwood in RIFT, saying, “This was an odd but beautiful skybox that was in effect during some zone event that happened.”

And if you stop looking up to look way, way, way down, you might spy Yrys spelunking in Lord of the Rings Online’s sewer system.

“Who doesn’t love a good sewer? (Sarcasm, obviously.) This is Ilmabiri, The Wells in the recently-added area underneath Umbar. The water is disturbingly realistic looking.”

Minimalistway is still up to old tricks as a murder ninja in Final Fantasy XIV. This Lalafel may be the last thing you ever see and go “aww” before the pain begins. “Breaking shins, that’s my job.”

“Going through my journey in Southern Elsweyr brought me to… this,” Chris shared. “I know others have seen it before, but it still literally made me stop in my tracks. Elder Scrolls Online is definitely at its best when it gets into that high fantasy good stuff.”

And our editor Bree is enjoying a picnic with her daughter in Farm Together 2. It’s all about the social connections that adds that special layer on top of the gameplay!

Whether farming or killing, crafting or roleplaying, we’d love to see what you’re up to in MMOs this week. Post a screenshot or three below along with a description of what’s happening!

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
