Descent returns… as a MOBA Kickstarter hopeful

Remember 1995? I don’t, mostly because I was either playing Descent or catching matinee screenings of Braveheart. The former is making a comeback of sorts, if a Kickstarted MOBA called Descent: Underground can be considered a comeback.

The project is led by former Star Citizen producer Eric “Wingman” Peterson. It makes use of the Unreal 4 engine to power a “6DoF MOBA type of combat game” boasting 16-player teams and the usual capture-the-flag and deathmatch game modes.

Austin-based Descendant Studios is looking to raise $600,000 over the next 30 days and plans to release the title in 2016.
