Habbo is probably not a game that occupies a big chunk of your mental real estate, due in no small part to the fact that it’s more akin to Second Life than an actual MMO and is targeted for a much younger demographic than our usual audience. But it’s been running for 15 years now successfully, so it’s more than deserving of some of your attention. And now you can play it on your phone, too.
An Android version of the title is available today, following the implementation of an iOS app last year. No limitations on the client have been announced, but it will require a high-end Android device to function properly. A trailer is available just past the break if you’d like to see a shot of the game in action.

Jack Pipsam Sorenthaz Pretty much. And Jagex hasn’t really been able to do anything successful since Runescape. They’re probably bleeding to some extent from having to shut down the crappy Transformers MOBA.
carson63000Â It’s basically if chatrooms were a game.
Sorenthaz Jack Pipsam Sign of the times.
Just curious.. has anyone heard anything whatsoever about this game other than the “Pool’s Closed” trolling?
I know I haven’t.
I trolled pretty hard in this game when I was a kid.
AdeptusEnginus That sounds hilarious.
Jack Pipsam And now Runescape has a good amount of microtransactions too on top of an increased subscription cost. Lol.
Shienne Sorenthaz There is no playing here. AIDs is a very serious business and if the pool is contaminated with it then we must keep it closed.
I used to play this game when I was 9 – 14 (COPPA wasn’t going to stop me), it seemed fun at the time.
Although looking back, I can see that game in many ways invented the micro-transaction. It was stupid the amount of stuff you had to buy with IRL money.
Good thing RuneScape was my main game back then.
I had allot of fun on Habbo Hotel (I guess just Habbo now) back when I was younger, me and my friends managed to make a Star Wars roleplay community (mostly Jedi/Sith) it was a blast!
