CCP is tweaking EVE’s fleet functionality

Nope, not illustrating this. Have a spaceship.

EVE Online’s latest dev blog talks about upcoming fleet changes, though it also says that due to player feedback, said changes have been pushed back to the August 25th release.

The changes are intended to increase the time it takes for fleets to close ranges, reduce the ease of performing bomb runs without reducing their damage, and increase individual fleet member participation. “Fleet-warping discourages individual player participation. It’s more effective to have the Fleet Commander warp the fleet around rather than each pilot warping themselves,” CCP says. “This mostly mindless type of movement reduces the impact of each fleet member’s actions on the outcome of the combat.”
