ARK: Survival Evolved got two new biomes in today’s 216 patch. A swamp and snow-covered region are now available, along with new critters like the dire wolf and the megaloceros. Don’t forget your mittens if you’re going out in the snow, because ARK’s survival gameplay mechanics and weather patterns can be hard on the unprepared avatar.
The swamp is no picnic either thanks to an abundance of poisonous plants. Fortunately, it also includes some unique plants that can be harvested for advanced recipes. You can view a teaser vid of the new stuff after the cut.
