Blade & Soul’s Assassin gets a class overview and a video

12

Blade & Soul has released a class overview for the Assassin. NCsoft describes it as “a complex class that excels when they have the freedom and time to set up their attack, and can be defined by their strategic approach to combat.”

Playing an Assassin well involves mastering position, timing, and skill chains to ensure that your opponents lack the time to respond to your attacks. Skill availability is dependent upon stance: Stealth allows Assassins to deal huge damage while hidden while Decoy provides a bunch of crowd control effects. Be sure to read the full class explanation via the link below, and don’t forget about the video after the break.

Best version of an assassin I have seen. Log decoy ftw!

Seems like a fun class, I think I’ll give this a try at launch.
I’m not buying a pack though. In fact, I’ll not spend anything on this game, this payment model is raising all alarms for me. Founders packs, premium membership, premium tiers, premium points, NC coin… ew ew ew. It reminds me of one of those phone games where there are a million ways to advance by paying real money.

solipsis feel your pain man. Luckily i was the only one of my friends to avoid buying that ESO crapfest. one month later and theyre all complaining how boring it is. welp, i warned them.

Its just single player games for me for the past 2 years. Either Blade and Soul, Camelot Unchained or Pantheon Rise of the Fallen will bring me back into MMOs.

The fact I had decided to purchase a founder long before this irritating measure to force me to that page. I wasn’t really planning on a second founders account to begin with. I am certainly not planning on one after this intrusive nonsense. :(

ManastuUtakata Vexia It certainly is. However, I don’t think it will turn me away from the game once it launches. I just never planned on getting a founder’s pack for myself, anyway. I’m too busy right now to even play the beta for any worthwhile amount of time. :'(

…well that’s irritating. Pushy advertising is usually a good way for peeps to get turned off of the product. Just saying. :(

My brief time with the Assassin is what has sold this game for me. It has some excellent positional and reactionary tricks that make engaging enemies a good time.
I’m definitrly curious how it plays during the latter levels.

Even though Jef put the assassin week URL as the source, the B&S website itself keeps redirecting me to the founder packs page. I don’t think this is the first B&S article where that’s happened. *grinds teeth*
