The Daily Grind: Did you find any MMO deals over the weekend?

91

So Black Friday has come and gone, and now I guess it’s Cyber Monday, or something like that? I don’t know; I don’t pay attention to the marketing terms and instead I just buy the games I want when I want them. It’s hard to ignore some of the Steam sales, though, and I spent about 50 bucks over the weekend and got a load of titles that will probably sit on my personal need-to-play list for the next year!

What about you, MOP readers? Did you buy a bunch of games over the weekend due to sales or whatever? Did you find any MMO deals?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!

I was sad. Marvel Heroes wasn’t a part of the sale.
Sure, they have a buy-one get-one sale ingame right now, but I still pay more than my regular regional-pricing-via-steam price, even with double the heroes.

I spent 70 dollars on about 20 single player games, there’s no decent sandboxes out right now.

15% bonus cash shop currency plus a 20% sale when you used it got me to pick up some STO stuff I’ve wanted for a while

se7engames $1,750, which includes tax and shipping. I only listed the basics that everyone wraps their heads around, and didn’t list the case, extra fans, blue ray read/writer, power supply, liquid cooling, etc. that I also got with it.

I normally spend about sixty bucks on steam during the sale… but this year, I only spent 20 all all that was on The elder scrolls online.  I was going to get the reduced price expansions for dungeons and dragons online but i’m too into Trove!

We have so many options of MMO’s to play!! And so little time :(

The Elder Scrolls Online has been on my to try list for a while, and 60% off on Steam was a good opportunity to pick it up.  Installed now, but not tried yet.
And after a LOT of indecisiveness I picked up Otherland at 50% off as well.  My expectations are low, but I like the concept and at least want to try it for myself.

RicharddeLeonIII His experience had zero PVP in it, so I dunno.  It’s funny because what he describes felt completely contradictory to what I thought I knew about the game.
