Wargaming has just announced that World of Tanks is all ready for its formal PlayStation 4 debut next week — January 19th, to be specific. “New and existing players subscribed to PlayStation Plus will get access to a very unique Premium vehicle: the exclusive German Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. J-PS,” says the studio. You can pick it up in the PlayStation Plus section of the PlayStation Store and check out the relevant videos below.

Ironhelix If it’s anything like the 360 version, the only dumbing down you’ll find is the “package” system; no upgrading individual systems (gun, tracks, etc.), it’s all done in set chunks. Which can bring about some unpleasant grinds.

The actual pew-pew gameplay, however, is unchanged. To my knowledge.

Been playing this on PC since before it launched. Can anyone tell me if it’s “dumbed down” for consoles at all? I don’t game much on my PC anymore, but I might be persuaded to get into this on PS4 if it’s not hobbled by the platform.

It’s too bad that the PC counterparts don’t share servers.

melissaheather It’s extremely addictive….I easily spent 90% of my gaming time last weekend playing it during the beta period (the beta rewards carry over to full release).

Game is incredibly fun (I’ve been playing since the Xbox 360 version) with the PS4 version making improvements to it.

I’ve played both open-beta test weekends as well as being a closed-beta (aka “supertester’) for several months now.  Anyone with a PS4 needs to try this when it comes out.  It will arguably be the most fun online game available.

Say goodbye to your husbands and boyfriends for a while.  The game is highly addictive and extremely replayable, since no 2 battles are ever the same.   I have to admit I really like it myself.   Kind of like hide & seek with lethal consequences.  Great graphics and sound, historical accuracy in the models and tech trees, PS4 gamers will absolutely love this game!   I have a friend who played nothing but WoT on his Xbox360.  He got an XboxOne for christmas.  I asked him how the games were.  He said he hasn’t played anything but WoT yet on his XBOne haha.
