Rogue One’s novelization was penned by a former SWTOR writer

When you leave the theaters after seeing Rogue One and find yourself craving more explanations or simply more of the story, you might turn to the official novelization (yes, apparently studios still put those out from time to time).

The interesting connection for MMO players is that the Rogue One novelization was penned by Alexander Freed, who is credited with writing the highly regarded Imperial Agent storyline in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Freed worked on the IA story and other projects at BioWare before leaving in 2012 to become a freelance writer.

Freed recently tackled another Star Wars military tale in Battlefront: Twilight Company. The Rogue One novelization promises “new scenes and expanded material” that might shed more light on the proceedings in this month’s motion picture event. If you prefer to listen rather than read, Rogue One is available on Audible as well.
